  • Used Curriculum Fair in Ooltewah

    2009 NEW-2-YOU CURRICULUM FAIR INFORMATION

It's getting close to the end of the homeschool year so it's time to start thinking about selling your homeschool curriculum for extra money and scoop up some good deals in the process. In today's economy, it's important to save money and get the best deal possible. Our 6th annual New-2-You Curriculum Fair is a great place to buy and sell!

When: Thursday, May 21st, 2009 - Mark your calendar!

Time: 9am till 1pm - (Setup for sellers at 8am or day before)

Admission: FREE so invite everyone you know and bring a friend! Only 10 minutes from Ooltewah exit. Directions are below.

Reduction in rental fees and change of structure for this year. Read carefully below...

    Booth and table rentals:
You can rent an approximately 8x6 booth space with or without a table this year. This option lets you organize your space in any way that best fits your unique selling needs. You may rent a table from us, bring your own, and use the space in a way that works best for you.

You may also rent more than one booth and extra tables. Just indicate the number needed on your application. (Spaces will be marked off and you cannot encrouch upon another sellers space. Make sure you have rented enough space for all your items.) Chairs are plentiful and free of charge.

Half booth spaces are available only with a table and ALL half table rentals will be located in the classrooms throughout the building.

    Here are the new rates:

    • Booth space without table = $5.50
    • Booth space with table = $10.50
    • Half booth space and table = $7.50
    • Extra tables = $5.00
The best way to pay the table rental fee is online. Click on the "Online Application" link on the left side of our website and follow the instructions. You may use a credit card, debit card and your Paypal account to pay. Pay at www.homeschool-life.com/tn/che.

You can also mail the application and check to Angie Lippard, 4319B Katy Kim Lane, Ooltewah, TN 37363. Click on the "Printable Application" link on the left side of our website and follow the instructions.

Like last year, those who get their applications to me first, will have their booth spaces located in the main area of the auditorium. After the auditorium is filled, more booths and all half tables will be located in the classrooms throughout the rest of the building.

You will get to bring in your items and set them up on Wednesday instead of only on Thursday morning! This will give you more time to get your items prepared and not be so rushed on the day of the Fair. Woo hoo!

Directions going North on I-75: Approx. 10 minutes from the exit - There is a lot of new construction going on in this area so be aware of direction changes, new roads and red lights.

Take Exit 11 off the interstate. After you get off the interstate exit, you will have the option of turning left at the red light or yielding right. Turn left at the light and go back up under the interstate towards the gas station. You need to get in the right lane. The road will dead end at the 2nd red light. Turn right.

Stay straight on this road. It will turn into Mountain View Rd. You will stay on Mountain View Rd. for 2.4 miles and then it will turn into Ooltewah-Georgetown Rd. Stay straight for 4.2 more miles.

You will go past the Ooltewah High School, Frost Cutlery, FitOne Gym, Wilson’s Upholstery, and Savannah Bay Church. Eventually, you will come to a stop sign. It feels like you are traveling on this road for a lot longer than you really are.

Turn left onto Mahan Gap. You will go past the Dollar General store on the left and over a little bridge. You will turn right onto the road in front of the schoolhouse. The building has “Fire Training Center” lettered on the outside of the building. We will have signs along the way.

Directions going East on Hwy. 58: Stay straight for approximately 12 miles on Hwy. 58. You will go past Harrison Bay, Bi-lo and Two Pigs Barbecue. Turn right on Mahan Gap Road. You will turn left in front of the school. The building has “Fire Training Center” lettered on the outside. We will have signs posted.

  • Spring is Here

    Or it will be offically on March 20th. And that is the date of our 1st Fellowship Meeting of the season;

    Friday, March 20th, at 1:00

    at the Clemons' home

The children will have a chance to play (outdoors, hopefully) with their friends while the mothers will get a chance to fellowship and encourage each other in their roles as homeschooling mothers.  contact Kathy at queenmotherof8@yahoo.com if you need directions or more information.  It's always a good idea to to contact the hostess the day before or the day of the meeting to make sure there have been no plan changes like chicken pox  or other interesting things.
